RelationshipCapital.com is where I publish The Relationship Capital Newsletter and host The Relationship Capitalists Podcast. Both exist for one reason. The people who build careers and businesses that last do it on the strength of their relationships. That was true before AI. It is more true now.
Relationship Capital is your most valuable, most underused asset. It is the trust you have built, the value you have delivered, and the conversations you keep alive across your network. It opens doors. It moves deals. It is portable, it compounds, and it is the one thing AI cannot replicate for you.
This site is built for people who want to get there. Founders, sales leaders, executives, and operators who understand that who you know and how well you serve them is not a soft skill. It is the strategy. You do not have to be a master connector today. You have to want to become one, and be willing to invest in the people around you to do it. That person is who I am writing for. I call them Superconnectors, and the work here is about helping you become one.
A weekly read for people who want to build and use their Relationship Capital on purpose.
Each issue gives you practical advice for putting the Relationship Equation (R = T + V + D: Trust, Value, Dialogue) to work and developing the five PowerSkills: Positioning, Hunting, Coaching, Leading, and Farming. No networking clichés. You get stories of how leaders, founders, and business people are doing this well, and our recurring section, Trust Builders & Value Deposits, with specific moves you can make this week to invest in the people who matter to your future.
The philosophy behind all of it is simple. Invest First. Get people invested in your success by first investing in theirs.Free to read.
Built to be used.
Conversations with founders, go-to-market leaders, investors, and Superconnectors who have built something real on the back of their relationships.
We get past the highlight reel and into how they actually did it. The relationships that opened the door, the trust they built to carry it through, and the lessons you can apply to your own career and business. Every guest is proof of the same idea. Relationships get you to the table. Your skill and how well you serve people is what carries it from there.
I created this newsletter, and I host the podcast.
I have spent my career proving the thesis behind this site. Relationship Capital got me my first job, and every meaningful one after it. In 2000 I co-founded one of the first global SaaS CRM consulting firms. We grew it for nearly a decade, then merged with a competitor in a deal funded by Salesforce Ventures and a venture capital firm, forming a 500-person Salesforce consulting firm. Every major move, every deal, every key hire traced back to a relationship I had invested in. The relationship opened the door. My experience and my ability to build trust quickly is what made it count.
Most recently I spent nearly ten years at Pegasystems, where I serve as VP of Go-to-Market and Ventures at Pega Launchpad. I am leaving in early July 2026 to build Power Skills LLC and commit fully to this work.
The methodology has deep roots. My father, Jim Masciarelli, wrote PowerSkills: Building Top-Level Relationships for Greater Profits. He was teaching this long before relationship building became a popular topic, and his framework draws on a serious intellectual lineage running from Carl Rogers through Robert Carkhuff to Jim's own work. I worked alongside him in the 90s delivering these ideas to enterprise teams. Now I am updating the methodology for how careers and businesses actually get built today, and putting tools and a community behind it.
My goal is to help you become a master Relationship Capitalist with the agency to thrive in your career, your business, and your life. The newsletter, the podcast, and everything else I am building here are how I plan to help you get there.
Come build with me.
